How to Open STL in Blender

Jun 24, 2024

Hey everyone, today I'm going to show you how to open STL files in Blender for all your 3D modeling needs. Let's dive right in!

Step 1: First, make sure you have Blender installed on your computer. If not, you can download it for free from the official website.

Step 2: Once Blender is up and running, go to 'File' and select 'Import'.

Step 3: In the pop-up window, choose 'Stl' from the list of file formats.

Step 4: Navigate to the location of your STL file on your computer and select it.

Step 5: Click 'Import' and voila! Your STL file will now be imported into Blender, ready for you to work with.

But wait, there's more! You can also export your 3D model from Blender to an STL file.

Step 1: With your 3D model open in Blender, go to 'File' and select 'Export'.

Step 2: Choose 'Stl' as the file format for export.

Step 3: Name your file and select the location where you want to save it.

Step 4: Click 'Export' and you're done! Your 3D model is now saved as an STL file.

Now you can easily work with STL files in Blender, whether you're importing existing models or exporting your own creations.

Thanks for watching, and happy 3D modeling!
