How to Import FBX with Texture into Blender

Jul 30, 2024

Hey everyone, in this article, I'm going to show you how to import FBX files with textures into Blender for your 3D modeling projects. Let's get started! First, make sure you have the FBX file and the texture files (.png, .jpg, etc.) saved in the same folder on your computer. Open Blender and go to 'File' > 'Import' > 'FBX (.fbx)'. Navigate to the folder where your FBX file is saved, select it, and click 'Import FBX'. Now, your 3D model will appear in the Blender workspace. To apply the textures, go to the 'Shading' workspace at the top of the screen. Here, you can see a node editor where you can set up the materials for your model. Click on the 'New' button to create a new material slot. Then, click 'Open' under the 'Base Color' section and navigate to the folder where your texture files are saved. Select the texture file you want to use and click 'Open Image'. This will apply the texture to your 3D model in the viewport. You can repeat this process for any additional textures you want to add. Once you're happy with the textures, you can go back to the 'Layout' workspace to continue working on your 3D model. And that's it! Now you know how to import FBX files with textures into Blender. Give it a try and take your 3D modeling projects to the next level. Thanks for reading!
