How to Use STL Viewer in Windows 10 Explorer

Sep 25, 2024

Hey guys, today I'm going to show you how to use the STL viewer in Windows 10 Explorer to easily view and manipulate 3D models for 3D printing or other purposes. First, you'll need to have the STL file ready on your computer. Once you have the file, you can simply right-click on it and select 'Open with' and then choose '3D Viewer'. This will open up the 3D Viewer app where you can view and interact with the 3D model. But did you know that there's a built-in STL viewer in Windows 10 Explorer? That's right! You can simply navigate to the folder where your STL file is located, and then enable the 'Preview pane' and 'Details pane' in the View tab. This will allow you to see a preview of the STL file right in the Explorer window, and view details such as dimensions and file information in the Details pane. It's super convenient and can save you a lot of time when working with 3D models. You can even rotate and manipulate the 3D model directly in the Preview pane for a quick look before opening it in a dedicated viewer. So, if you're into 3D printing or just want to easily view and manage 3D models on your Windows 10 computer, be sure to make use of the built-in STL viewer in Windows 10 Explorer. It's a handy feature that can make your 3D modeling workflow a lot smoother. Give it a try and let me know what you think! #STLviewer #Windows10 #Explorer #3Dprinting
