How to Access 3D View in Revit

Sep 28, 2024

So, you want to check out your architectural design in 3D in Revit? No problem! Here’s how to access the 3D view in just a few simple steps. First, locate the 'Project Browser' on the left side of your screen. This is where you can find a list of all the views available in your project. Scroll down until you see '3D Views', and click on it to expand the list. You should see various 3D views listed here, such as '3D View 1', '3D View 2', etc. If these views are not present, you can create a new 3D view by right-clicking on '3D Views' and selecting 'New 3D View'. Once you have selected the desired 3D view, it will open up in the main window, allowing you to visualize your design in three dimensions. You can then navigate the 3D view using the navigation tools provided in the toolbar. And that’s it! You are now able to easily access the 3D view in Revit and explore your architectural designs in a whole new dimension.
