How to Save Blender Files as OBJ

Oct 01, 2024

Hey everyone! Today, I'm going to show you how to save your Blender files as OBJ format so you can easily use your 3D models in other programs. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Open your Blender file that you want to save as an OBJ.

Step 2: Make sure your 3D model is selected and visible in the viewport.

Step 3: Go to the 'File' menu at the top left corner of the window and select 'Export' > 'Wavefront (.obj)'.

Step 4: In the Export OBJ window, you can adjust the export settings such as 'Forward' and 'Up' axes, and 'Objects' and 'Materials' options if needed. You can also choose where to save the OBJ file on your computer.

Step 5: Once you're happy with the settings, click 'Export OBJ' to save your Blender file as an OBJ.

That's it! You now have your Blender file saved as an OBJ, ready to be used in other 3D modeling and rendering programs. This format is widely supported and makes it easy to share and collaborate on your 3D models.

I hope this tutorial was helpful for you. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to leave a comment below. Happy 3D modeling!
