How to Export Daz Models as OBJ

Oct 05, 2024

If you're a 3D artist who uses Daz Studio for your character modeling, you may need to export your models as OBJ files for use in other 3D modeling software. Here's a quick tutorial on how to do just that. Before exporting your Daz model, make sure you have all the necessary textures, maps, and morphs applied to the model. Once you have everything set up, follow these steps to export your Daz model as an OBJ file: 1. Select the model: In Daz Studio, select the model you want to export by clicking on it in the viewport. 2. Go to File > Export: Once your model is selected, go to the File menu and select Export. 3. Choose OBJ format: In the Export dialog box, choose OBJ as the file format. 4. Adjust export settings: In the Export Options dialog box, you can adjust the settings such as scale, orientation, and which material to include. 5. Save the file: Choose a location and filename for your OBJ file, then click Save to export your Daz model. Now you have successfully exported your Daz model as an OBJ file. You can now import this OBJ file into other 3D modeling software such as Blender, Maya, or 3ds Max to continue working on your model or incorporate it into a larger scene. With these simple steps, you can seamlessly integrate your Daz models into your 3D modeling workflow. Are there other aspects of 3D modeling or Daz Studio that you'd like to learn about?
