How to Make Revit 3D View Monochrome

Oct 07, 2024

Hey everyone, in today's tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make a Revit 3D view monochrome to achieve a clean and professional rendering. Here's how to do it in a few simple steps:

Step 1: Open your Revit project and navigate to the 3D view you want to render in monochrome.

Step 2: Go to the 'View' tab in the ribbon at the top of the screen and click on 'Visibility/Graphics' to open the settings.

Step 3: In the Visibility/Graphics dialog box, you can control the visibility and graphic display of your model.

Step 4: To make the 3D view monochrome, first, go to the 'Model Categories' tab and uncheck all the categories except 'Lines'. This will hide all the model components except for the lines, giving you a monochrome look.

Step 5: You can also adjust the line weight and color to your preference by clicking on the 'Override' button next to the 'Lines' category.

Step 6: Once you're happy with the settings, click 'OK' to apply the changes and close the dialog box.

And there you have it! Your Revit 3D view is now rendered in monochrome, ready for a clean and professional presentation.

Remember to save your view template for future use, so you can easily apply the monochrome rendering to other 3D views in your project.

I hope you found this tutorial helpful for creating monochrome 3D views in Revit. Give it a try and let me know how it goes in the comments below. And don't forget to like and share this video with your fellow architects and designers. Thanks for watching!
