Creating an OBJ File in After Effects

Oct 10, 2024

Hey everyone! Have you ever wanted to add 3D objects to your After Effects animations? Well, you're in luck because today I'm going to show you how to create an OBJ file in After Effects. Let's get started! First, you'll need to have a 3D model ready to import into After Effects. Once you have your model, you can use the 'Cinema 4D Renderer' in After Effects to work with 3D content. Simply create a new composition and select the 3D model layer. Then go to 'File' > 'Export' > 'Cinema 4D Exporter' and choose the location to save your OBJ file. After Effects will then generate the OBJ file along with its material and texture files. Now you have your very own OBJ file ready to use in After Effects! You can import it into your compositions and animate it using the 3D tools in After Effects. With your OBJ file, you can easily create stunning 3D animations and add depth to your projects. I hope this tutorial helps you add more dimension to your After Effects work. Happy creating!
