Exporting Unity Objects to OBJ and MTL

Oct 12, 2024

When working with Unity and 3D modeling, you may need to export your objects to OBJ and MTL file formats for use in other applications or software. To do this, follow these steps: 1. Select the object you want to export in the Unity scene. 2. Once the object is selected, go to File > Export > Wavefront OBJ (.obj). This will export the selected object as an OBJ file. 3. If the object has material properties, you'll also need to export the material file. Go to File > Export > Material Template Library (.mtl) to export the associated material properties. 4. Once both the OBJ and MTL files are exported, you can use them in 3D modeling software or other applications. Keep in mind that some material properties may need to be adjusted depending on the target software. By following these steps, you can easily export Unity objects to OBJ and MTL file formats for use in 3D modeling or other applications.
