How to Save an IPT as an OBJ

Oct 14, 2024

Hey everyone! Today I'm going to show you how to save an IPT file as an OBJ file using Autodesk Inventor. So, if you've been working on a 3D model in Autodesk Inventor and you need to save it in a different format, like OBJ, I've got you covered. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Open your IPT file in Autodesk Inventor.

Step 2: Navigate to the 'File' menu and select 'Export'.

Step 3: In the export dialog, choose 'OBJ' as the file format.

Step 4: Select the location where you want to save the OBJ file and click 'Save'.

That's it! Your IPT file has now been saved as an OBJ file. You can now use this OBJ file in other 3D modeling software or share it with others who may not have access to Autodesk Inventor.

Saving your IPT files as OBJ files can be super helpful, especially if you need to collaborate with others who use different 3D modeling software. It's a quick and easy way to ensure that everyone can access and work with your 3D models.

I hope this tutorial was helpful for you! If you have any other questions about file conversion or Autodesk Inventor, feel free to ask in the comments. Happy modeling!
