How to Go to a 3D View in Revit

Oct 15, 2024

Hey everyone, today I'm going to show you how to easily go to a 3D view in Revit. Whether you're an architect or a design enthusiast, navigating to a 3D view is essential to visualizing your architectural designs in three dimensions. Let's get started! First, open your Revit project and navigate to the 'Project Browser' located on the left side of the screen. Scroll down and look for the '3D Views' folder. Here, you'll find a list of predefined 3D views, such as '3D View 1' or '3D View 2'. Simply double-click on one of these 3D views to open it in the main window. Alternatively, you can create a new 3D view by going to the 'View' tab, clicking on '3D View', and then selecting 'Default 3D View'. This will create a new 3D view for you to customize and explore. Once you're in the 3D view, use the mouse to pan, zoom, and orbit around your architectural model. You can also use the navigation tools located at the bottom right of the screen to control your view. And that's it! You're now in a 3D view in Revit and ready to visualize your architectural designs in three dimensions. Whether you're presenting your designs to clients or simply exploring your project from different angles, navigating to a 3D view in Revit is an essential skill for any architect or design enthusiast. So go ahead and start exploring your designs in 3D today!
