How to Save Sketchup Free as OBJ

Oct 17, 2024

Hey everyone, today I'm going to show you how to save your Sketchup Free files as OBJ, so you can use them for 3D modeling and rendering. Let's get started!

Step 1: Open your Sketchup Free software and open the file you want to save as OBJ.

Step 2: Once your file is open, go to File > Export > 3D Model.

Step 3: In the export dialog box, choose 'OBJ File (*.obj)' as the file type.

Step 4: Select a location on your computer to save the OBJ file, and then click 'Export'.

Step 5: Now you have successfully saved your Sketchup Free file as an OBJ file! You can use this OBJ file for 3D modeling and rendering in other software.

Remember, Sketchup Free is a great tool for 3D modeling, but it may not have all the features you need for advanced projects. By saving your files as OBJ, you can easily transfer your work to other 3D modeling and rendering software.

I hope this tutorial was helpful for you. Let me know in the comments if you have any other tips for using Sketchup Free or converting files to OBJ. Don't forget to like and share this video with your friends who are also into 3D modeling. Thanks for watching!
