So you've got an OBJ file that you want to bring into 3D Coat for some awesome 3D modeling action? Here's how you can do it in just a few simple steps.

Step 1: Open 3D Coat

First things first, make sure 3D Coat is up and running on your computer. If you haven't already installed the software, go ahead and do that now.

Step 2: Click on 'File'

Once you're in 3D Coat, look for the 'File' menu at the top of the screen and click on it. This will open up a drop-down menu with a bunch of options for you to choose from.

Step 3: Select 'Import'

In the 'File' menu, you'll find an option that says 'Import'. Click on that, and a new window will pop up, prompting you to select the file you want to import.

Step 4: Find and select your OBJ file

Navigate to the location on your computer where your OBJ file is stored. Once you've found it, click on it to select it. Then, click 'Open' to import the OBJ file into 3D Coat.

Step 5: Adjust import settings

Depending on the size and complexity of your OBJ file, you may need to adjust some import settings to ensure it comes into 3D Coat properly. Take a look at the options available to you and make any necessary adjustments.

Step 6: Confirm the import

Once you're happy with the import settings, go ahead and confirm the import. Your OBJ file will then be brought into 3D Coat, ready for you to start working with.
