How to Reset 3D View in Revit

Oct 21, 2024

Hey everyone, in today's tutorial, I'm going to show you how to reset the 3D view in Revit. Whether you're new to Revit or just need a refresher, resetting the 3D view can come in handy when you want to start fresh or make adjustments to your model. Here's how to do it:

Step 1: Open your 3D view in Revit. This could be your default 3D view or a custom one that you've created.

Step 2: Once your 3D view is open, go to the 'View' tab on the ribbon at the top of the screen.

Step 3: In the 'View' tab, look for the '3D View' panel. Here, you'll find a button with an icon that looks like a house. This is the 'Default 3D View' button, which is what we'll use to reset the 3D view.

Step 4: Click on the 'Default 3D View' button. This will instantly reset your 3D view to its default state, allowing you to start over or make changes as needed.

And that's it! You've successfully reset the 3D view in Revit. This simple trick can save you time and frustration when working on your architectural or design projects. So go ahead, give it a try and see how it can improve your workflow.
